Germany is an adventure lovers paradise! Majestic mountain backdrops in spring or winter cradle alpine villages perfect for hiking or skiing. I spent two weeks exploring south Germany along the Rhine and into the Black Forest before departing in Munich. Germany was so easy to navigate with trains, it gave me confidence to explore new destinations. I wished I had traveled earlier in life, I wished I would have visited foreign places with friends and enjoyed more cultures. I wanted to tell everyone about Germany when I got home. I wanted everyone to go see what I have seen. And mostly I wanted other people to have confidence in traveling, whether alone or with family. Germany is the perfect place for "newbies" to learn, "yes you can!"

The mysterious land of Fire and Ice! Visit September through April to view the famous Northern Lights or wander along Diamond Beach in an other worldly black sparkling sand before taking a dip in a thermal lagoon. Hike along volcano craters and visit the many waterfalls; a must see is the famous Gullfoss waterfall, which translates to Golden Falls. There are many wonderous landscapes to hike and explore while visiting Iceland making it the perfect destination for experiencing something new and exciting. I can hardly wait to see it myself!

My trip to Athens, Greece was wonderful, thanks to Michele. She booked the perfect hotel in the right part of town, taking into account my age (retired), budget, and that I was traveling solo. The bus tour and private tour that she arranged were so informative about the areas around Athens. I would do it all again!
